David Beckham's sons are keen to try new sports after attending several events at the London 2012 Olympics.

David Beckham's sons were inspired by the London Olympics.

The soccer star - who was an ambassador for the 2012 Games - felt ''overwhelmed with pride'' as he joined Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, and seven-year-old Cruz at a number of events and is thrilled the spectacle has inspired the youngster to try their hands at new sports.

He wrote for the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''My pride reached new heights when I took part in the 2012 opening ceremony then when I took my three boys to watch some of the events - like Tom Daley winning his bronze for diving....

''As I sat with Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz in the Olympic stadium, I was overwhelmed with pride that I could take them to the 2012 Games in the part of London where I grew up, just down the road from where I first kicked a ball.

''I know that my boys have been inspired by what they've seen and want to try all sorts of different sports for themselves.''

David - who also has 13-month-old daughter Harper with wife Victoria - believes as a parent it is important to encourage children to do their best and he is overwhelmed by the ''strength and energy'' of families of disabled youngsters for helping their kids get into sport.

Speaking about the Paralympics, which begin in London today (29.08.12), he added: ''As parents blessed with four healthy children, Victoria and I are humbled by the strength and energy of mums and dads who encourage their disabled children to take up sports.

''It can involve real hardship and sacrifice, but there is no greater life lesson that you can give to your children than to 'be the very best that you can.' ''

The couple - who began dating after performing at the Olympics Closing Ceremony earlier this month - have developed a ''spiritual connection'' thanks to their shared hobby and particularly enjoy practising asana, the mastery of sitting still, together.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Geri has said they have a spiritual connection through yoga and they practise asana together.

''Russell is known for action between the sheets but he is actually very good at just sitting still in silence.

''It is something that has acted as a bond for he and Geri as their relationship blossoms.''

For their first date, the couple shared a romantic picnic on London's Hampstead Heath just days after they both performed at the Olympics Closing Ceremony earlier this month and onlookers revealed the pair couldn't keep their hands off each other.

A source said: ''Geri and Russell were being very open about everything, there was no attempt to hide the fact that they were on a date.

''There was lots of giggling, eye contact and touching as they sat together near a couple of trees.

The couple were spotted on another date at the weekend, when they took Geri's six-year-old daughter Bluebell to London's Hampton Court Palace.

Before embarking on a relationship with Geri, Russell - whose divorce from Katy Perry was finalised last month - was dating Isabella Brewster after meeting her at a yoga class.

A man who claims to have stolen will.i.am's car has posted an online video boasting about the thievery.

Wearing a pair of sunglasses bedecked with stars and a striped balaclava, the suited man - using a vocoder - threatens to leak the music on CDs he found inside a bag in the car.

Posting on Vimeo under the name 'Will.i.leak', he says: ''I took your car, your jewellery and your pride. I took your car on a joyride. I drove it slow, I drove it fast, I drove it 'til it had no gas. I made you worry and that's a drag, but ha ha ha, I've got your bag.

The TV and radio host - who is currently ranked number 19 on Forbes list of highest paid celebrities - made a $500,000 loss on the property, which he bought from actor Kevin Costner in 2006.

According to gossip website TMZ, the buyers are ''rich English folk'', who landed the property for much less than its original asking price of $12.9 million.

The new owners will get to enjoy a host of amenities, including a pool, spa, tennis court, library, billiards room, a bar, wine cellar and a state-of-the-art gym with TV monitors attached to the treadmills.

Ryan sold the 8,000 square foot property - which boasts a detached private nightclub and three adjacent guest-homes as well as the main house spread across 2.87 sprawling acres of grounds - as he recently splashed out $37 million buying a Beverly Hills mansion from Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi.

  • Another new photo shoot of gorgeous Kelly Brook

Kelly Brook is one of my favorite women in the entertainment industry today just because I love the self confidence she just seems to radiate. She's a gorgeous woman, of course, but there are a lot of beautiful women in the entertainment industry. What does it for me with Kelly is the fact that she seems so comfortable with herself. Some people have rather unkind things to say about Kelly from time to time but she doesn't seem to let it get to her. She just lets her natural self shine through and that's a big part of what I think makes a woman sexy. I like these photos of Kelly because they really show how comfortable she is in front of the camera. She doesn't seem to be pushing herself to portray a certain image. She's just being Kelly and I find that just ridiculously appealing.

  • Olivia Wilde without makeup in Wilmington

This last week has been one for the ages. Computer issues, money issues and just general life being a jerk issues have had me feeling a little down. A lot down, even. I got out of bed this morning and was quite certain it wouldn't worth staying up. I noticed I had some pictures waiting for me here so I decided to do those before going back to bed and wallowing in self pity. Glad I did. I won't say everything is all better but seeing Olivia Wilde definitely put a smile on my face. There is nothing about this woman that doesn't make me feel good. She's smart, she's sexy and she's outspoken. Plus, ya know, the pancake eating contest. These bare faced photos of Olivia in Wilmington just reinforce my belief that Olivia is worth waking up for. Her confidence in herself and her willingness to just be who she is is inspiring. Today will be a better day. Or maybe it won't but hey, Olivia Wilde in a bikini. At least it's off to a pretty good start.

Jennie Garth's friends say she is more confident since losing weight following her marriage split.

Jennie Garth is more confident since her marriage ended.

While the former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star was devastated following the breakdown of her 16-year relationship with Peter Facinelli in March, she has lost about 20 pounds and is ''happier than ever''.

A friend told Us Weekly: ''She's happier than ever. She looks like the old Jennie!

''When you get sad, you either overeat or you become really healthy. Jennie's taking care of herself -she's taken control of her situation.

''Before, she used to be like, 'OK, let's cover me up'. And now she's more open-minded about having fun with her clothes. She's feeling good in her skin.''

Jennie - who has daughters Luca, 15 Lola, nine, and Fiona, five, with Peter - was spotted on a date with TV star Antonio Ballatore in Las Vegas in May but hasn't confirmed a new relationship.

She previously revealed the marriage split made her aware of just how much she loved the 'Twilight Saga' star Peter.

She said: ''It's weird and sad, but I really came to understand through this whole experience how much I loved him, how deeply I loved him and how deeply I loved us.''

Sarah Harding has ''finally let go'' of her relationship with Tom Crane.

The Girls Aloud singer was rumoured to have reconciled with her ex-fiance recently, but she claims she now thinks of him as more of a ''brother'' than potential boyfriend material.

She said: ''Tom and I do speak - we're civil - and his family still consider me part of them, which means a lot to me. But as much as I care about him, I look back and I can see that we weren't compatible. There was a time, a little while after we split, when I would have loved to have got back with him because it was painful, it really was.

''But I feel now that I am at that point where I've finally let go. Now I think of Tom more like a brother.''

Sarah spent a stint in rehab in South Africa after the break-up, and she admits she is only now dealing with who she is and what is important to her.

She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''It's only very recently that I've started to understand who I am and what I want out of life and whist I used to think that you could have it all if you worked hard enough at it - the marriage, the babies, the fantastic career - I think the reality is that it is very difficult.''

Sharon Osbourne stepped down from the judging panel of the NBC show in solidarity with her son after accusing the network of reneging on a TV deal with him when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) but Jack is reportedly worried she will now spend all her free time at his house.

A source told the National Enquirer: ''[Jack] fears Sharon will be underfoot constantly and trying to baby him if she has more time on her hands.''

Friends are also worried that Sharon's public battle with the network will stress Jack out more, something which could make his illness worse.

The source added: ''As bad as Jack's prognosis is, Sharon's got to understand that fretting over her son can actually make matters worse.

''Doctors tell Jack that as he battles MS, it's crucial to keep his stress level low - but that's hard in his crazy family. Sharon's stressing him out with her grandstanding play to quit the hit TV show, and he keeps telling her not to fall on her sword for his sake.''

Lindsay Lohan won't be prosecuted over a burglary at her friend's home.

No charges will be brought against the actress and her assistant Gavin Doyle after prosecutors decided there wasn't enough evidence to tie them to the incident on August 18 when valuable items including car keys, cash, sunglasses and a credit card holder were taken from her friend Sam Magid's Hollywood Hills mansion.

A prosecutor wrote in a charge evaluation form: ''We do not have sufficient evidence to prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt.

''One of the suspects makes a vague admission that he and the others were there, and that 'someone' took something but is not more specific than that. The fact that our suspects are found in a car that is similar to the one seen at the time of the burglary adds little to the case.''

Mr. Magid, also retracted his initial report that items were stolen which complicated attempts to prosecute.

The prosecutor continued: ''In addition to these evidentiary insufficiencies, the [victims] do not wish to pursue the prosecution of this matter.''

Lindsay's spokesman Steve Honig said in a statement: ''Lindsay is glad this matter has been cleared up so she can focus on her upcoming projects.''

Kelly Osbourne has slammed Rihanna on twitter.

The 'Fashion Police' host appeared to suggest the 24-year-old singer should get a ''sense of humour'' as she defended her co-star Joan Rivers after the comedienne recently blasted Rihanna when the Bajan beauty said she still ''loves'' her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Kelly wrote on twitter: ''W/ the greatest of respect 2 a young lady of whom I love please get a sense of humor @Joan_Rivers paved the way 4 all us opinionated ladies! (sic)''

The 27-year-old presenter's comments come after Rihanna recently explained in a TV interview with Oprah Winfrey that she still has feelings for Brown, who she split from in February 2009 after he assaulted her, saying: ''We love each other and we probably always will.''

But after watching the show Joan took to her twitter account to describe the 'We Found Love' hitmaker as an ''idiot'' for making such heartfelt comments about Brown.

She wrote: ''Rihanna confessed to Oprah Winfrey that she still loves Chris Brown. Idiot! Now it's my turn to slap her.''

Rihanna then responded, in a message which has now been deleted, saying: ''Wow, you really do get slow when you're old, huh?''

And the war of words continued with Joan adding: ''Honey, @Rihanna, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he'll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS - Love to have you on Fashion Police! (sic)''.

Madonna may uses fake guns on the stage show of her MDNA tour, but insists they are ''metaphorical'' and she is against violence.

Madonna insists she doesn't condone gun use.

The 'Girls Gone Wild' singer's controversial stage show on her 'MDNA' tour sees her and backing dancers pose and pretend to shoot replica weapons, but she insists it is a metaphorical representation of ''the journey of a soul from darkness to light.''

In a video titled 'The MDNA Tour - In Madonna's Words' the singer says: ''It's true there is a lot of violence in the beginning of the show and sometimes the use of fake guns - but they are used as metaphors.

''I do not condone violence or the use of guns. Rather they are symbols of wanting to appear strong and wanting to find a way to stop feelings that I find hurtful or damaging.

''In my case it is wanting to stop the lies and hypocrisy of the church, the intolerance of many narrow minded cultures and societies I have experienced throughout my life and in some cases the pain I have felt from having my heart broken.''

Madonna, 54, also says in the video her stage show mirrors her own journey and is intended to show that love is the answer, rather than violence.

She adds: ''Ultimately as we follow through the journey of my story, the audience can see quite clearly what I see - that the enemy is within and the only way to survive disappointment, disapproval, judgment, heartbreak, jealousy, envy and hatred is with love - not with revenge - not with guns and not with violence.

''In spite of all the chaos and darkness and intolerance we seem to be encountering more and more in the world, we cannot allow our anger or bitterness to swallow us up.''

She also warned the show needs to be seen in full to be understood, adding: ''It must be watched with an open heart from beginning to end.

''I am sure if it is viewed this way, the viewer will walk away feeling inspired, Invigorated and will want to make the world a better place. And this of course was always my intention.''
