Andy Lau attracts crowd at outdoor filming
Filming of the actor's latest project is constantly disrupted by fans who turn up to gawk at the star
Andy Lau, who recently welcomed the birth of his first child, will make his return to the silver screen in Blind Detective. Recently, Andy filmed an outdoor night scene which was constantly disrupted by the large crowd which gathered to gawk at the Heavenly King in action.
The smartly-dressed Andy elicited appreciative screams from the crowd as he appeared in a three-piece suit. Wielding a white cane, Andy walked amidst the crowd during filming, quickly causing members of the media, public onlookers and crew to be mixed together into a confusing mess.
At the scene also to work on the project was Sammi Cheng, who held boxes of takeaway food and tried to keep up with Andy in the bustling night market. The crowd, estimated to be 400-strong, caused considerable delays to filming, frustrating director Johnny To.
The two superstars did not utter a word of complaint despite having to film throughout the night but made a quick exit after filming wrapped. The crowd only dispersed after Sammi and Andy left the scene.
