Having turned the great 3-0 in November last year, Shawn Yue's lack of a stable relationship has reportedly caused his mother to take matters into her own hands by choosing a match for him. She is said to have issued an ultimatum to Shawn to settle down before 2013.

Earlier this year, what is rumoured to be Shawn's mushy text messages exchange with model Louise Wang was revealed. The duo was romantically linked after working on a project in 2008. Shawn denied the rumours and maintained that he is single.

Around the same time, Shawn was reportedly seen with another model, Ceci Cai. The actor was accused of two-timing the models.

Sources close to the family claimed that Shawn's mother has grown tired of seeing the scandals surrounding her son. She is said to have taken matters into her own hands and has chosen a match for him. She has also mandated that he tie the knot before the year is over.

Her choice of the bride for Shawn is reportedly Singaporean model Shi Yi. Sources say that she has taken Shawn's preferences into consideration.
