Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui dismiss wedding rumours

The pair denied recent wedding rumours and stressed they had a "pleasant and normal vacation"

It's another false alarm as Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui denied wedding rumours when they returned to Hong Kong last weekend. The lovebirds were spotted enjoying a romantic short getaway in Okinawa, Japan last week to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day. They also reportedly checked out wedding venues, which immediately invited speculations that the well-loved Hong Kong celeb duo is finally tying the knot after an on-off relationship of 20 years.
Although Sammi and Andy intentionally came out from different exits at the airport, they greeted reporters with wide smiles on their faces.
The singer-actress, who was dressed in a black outfit and shades, emphasised, "We had a normal, pleasant vacation. [Andy] just completed his concert and needed a break."
Sammi remained secretive when asked if she would follow the footsteps of celebrity friend, Ekin Cheng, and wed in Japan. She avoided the question and explained that she "was unable to reply due to flu".
Meanwhile, Andy also dismissed these wedding rumours. The 45-year-old smiled sweetly and refused to comment whether he had declared sweet nothings to his girlfriend during the trip, similar to what he did during his concert earlier this month.
"I enjoyed the trip" were the only words the singer said to reporters.
