Vicki Zhao wants to spend more time with family
The Chinese actress reportedly reduced her current workload to try for a son and spend more time with family
After spending close to a year working behind-the-scenes for her directorial debut, Vicki Zhao recently promised to spend more time with her loved ones.
Besides acting in the Chinese romantic comedy film, Love, Vicki spent most of the time preparing for her directorial debut movie, Our Eventually Lost Youth since March 2012.
Although Vicki and her family of three were photographed enjoying carefree moments in France last year-end, You Long was allegedly unhappy with his wife for prioritising her career over family, and they even had a heated argument over this matter.
Vicki's directorial debut film is now in its post-production stage and near completion. An insider revealed that Vicki has "finally understood the importance of family after being a director herself" and has promised to "spend more time with her two-year-old daughter".
The actress-director has reportedly reduced her current job assignments, only taking up photo shoots and modelling projects, which was seen as an attempt to mend the relationship with her husband. Vicki is also rumoured to be maintaining her health condition in order to try for a second child, preferably a son.
The 36-year-old gradually stayed out of the limelight since her marriage to Chinese property mogul, Huang You Long in 2008 and only made a comeback after the birth of their daughter in April 2010.
