Jackie Chan promoted his film CZ12 (SUP YI SUN CHIU) in Korea. A fan handed him a pirated video for him to autograph, which broke his heart. He said, "While promoting CZ12 in Korea, a fan asked me to autograph a video. I said that the official one isn't out yet, this is pirated. When he found out he immediately threw away the video. Sigh, every time I see counterfeits I would be very heartbroken because I don't want viewers to watch anything that is roughly produced and illegal. Here again I urge everyone to boycott piracy. In the official video I will add over ten minutes of unreleased footage, like scenes that were left on the cutting room floor and my fight scene with Kwon Sang-Woo and a French fighter. They are great. In addition it will also have a lot of behind the scene secrets, like the 8 locations on 5 continents, special effect scene production trilogy process, comparison with the initial set designs to actual constructions. The high quality edition is worthy of viewers' collection! Thank you everyone!"

In addition, Big Brother's Korean management company revealed that Big Brother is forming a Korean and Mainland idol group called "Double JC".

    courtesy of mingpao.com

Anthony Wong Chau Sun earlier started a word of wars with Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung)'s fans over his comment "I don't know who Law Chi Cheung is". Yesterday his film IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) was announced as the opening film at the 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival press conference. When he spoke about his buddy Shawn Yue Man Lok's rumor of dating Kary Ng Yu Fei, Chau Sun said, "! Who is Ng Yu Fei?" When told Kary is a Hong Kong female singer, he said, "I don't watch television, read newspaper, magazine, I don't listen to music, when I do I listen to Mozart and Tschaikovsky!" He also said that with Lok Jai men would not talk about their love lives.

Named the film festival ambassador, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa said about her LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) co-star "Jimmy" Lok Jai's new romantic rumor, "I don't know, I don't know if he is afraid of pettiness like when I was pregnant, so for now he hasn't said anything. Earlier when we had dinner he even asked if I had any girl to introduce to him. If it is true I would congratulate him, he and Kary make a good match. The Kary I know has a good personality and is very cute." Chin Wa joked that in April when she will participate in the Hong Kong Film Award presentation, Lok Jai who might have found his "Cherie" in reality might not be willing to walk the red carpet with her.

Chau Sun's performance resembled Ip Man. When asked during the promotion if he would show off his kung fu, Chau Sun said, "I would demonstrate one inch punch or really 'inch'." He felt that the film was different from other films about Ip Man and Wing Chun, so comparison was difficult. However, next year at the Hong Kong Film Awards he, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Donnie Yen Chi Tan might compete for Best Actor with Ip man. Chau Sun said, "I am not afraid of competition."

The film festival selected director Andrew Lau Wai Keung to be the filmmaker in focus and 300 films from around the world, including the Ronny Yu Yun Tai directed, Dior Cheng Yi Kin starred SAVING GENERAL YANG (JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG), the Johnnie To Kei Fung directed, Louis Koo Tin Lok starred DRUG WAR (DUK JIN) and the Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Mavis Fan Hiu Huen starred WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW?

    Rosy Business 3 Costume Fitting

TVB grand production Rosy Business III's costume fitting was held yesterday. Wayne Lai's partner went from Sheren Tang to Myolie Wu. The other cast includes Edwin Siu, Sire Ma, Eric Li, Susan Tse, Law Lan and Lee Sing Cheung. The story is about spies, set during the China-Japan war.
Wayne appeared with a beard and mustache, he plays a pair of long lost twins. One is a traitor to China and the other role develops a relationship with Myolie. Wayne and Myolie will have passionate kiss and bed scenes. He said: "The story is set during the war, lots of chaos, life and death situations, struggle between love and hatred. That's why the relationship is very strong and passionate. There are several climaxes in the story." Wayne expressed it's good thing that his partner turned into Myolie, "After the first two seasons, my story with Sheren has already been written to its greatest limit, I'm afraid audience might get bored of watching us."

Wayne hoped the Rosy Business franchise can be like the 007 film series and keep going on with more seasons. There could be different artists in the future seasons. He is honored to be the lead actor for the first three parts. When asked if he has confidence to become TV King for the fourth time? Wayne laughed: "If both of my roles get nominated, that would be good, but I'm afraid that would scatter the votes."
    Myolie Rejects Her Pursuer
Myolie's new challenge is to portray a spy, she feels great pressure and predicts the public will compare her to Sheren Tang. She said: "This time, it is a completely new story. Nobody can replace Sheren, I will turn my pressure into power." Earlier in the sales presentation, there was one scene where Myolie was getting beat up (by Edwin), she expressed she's not sure if that scene is going to be retained or not. However, she heard the kiss and rape scenes are going to be pretty intense. "Recently, people are frequently talking about these kinds of scenes, I don't want it to become the selling point nor am I used to kiss scenes. But, the script is written very well, I hope the audience will focus more on the story." Myolie expressed she already rejected her pursuer because she believed its better that they remain as friends. She also urged the paparazzi to stop following her.

  • Simon Yam overtakes Nick Cheung in directing debut

With over 36 years in the film industry, Simon Yam Tat Wa years ago missed co-directing BOARDING GATE with Maggie Cheung Man Yuk's former husband Olivier Assayas because he was working on a Johnnie To Kei Fung film. However he recently has been rumored to work with Fruit Chan Gor and Lawrence Ah Mon (Lau Kwok Cheung) on a a ghost film. They each would be responsible for a 30 minute story like THREE (SAM GAN). Reportedly Brother Wa will be responsible for the part that was partially adapted from novelist Lillian Lee Bik Wa's script. The "virgin" inevitably was nervous. Just returning from work in Korea he has been busy with meetings with the team to prepare for the shoot.
Coincidentally, earlier Nick Cheung Ka Fai admitted that later he will direct a ghost film. In support of local production, he was even willing to reduce his salary. However the project will not have further news until the middle of the next month at the soonest. Brother Wa successfully cut the line as his film is tentatively scheduled to start on the 28th. No casting decision has been made yet.
Brother Wa was asked about the story. "I really can't talk about it yet. (Who will be the lead actress?) It may not have one. With elementary school graduation work like mine, if I make myself look bad it's not important. There is no point to mess with pretty girls. (Will you reduce salary in support of local production?) No, I will act, director and be the third photographer, I am no different from a chore boy. Of course I have to get more of a raise." Wa Jai stated that this was the first time he was willing to be a "chore boy" mainly because the ghost film subject was attractive. He also hoped to promote the Hong Kong emotion after ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU).

  • Stephen Chow increases Huayi stocks
After suffering a drop in stock market shares due to the less-than-expected box office results of their Feng Xiaogang movie, "Back to 1942", popular production company, Huayi Brothers can now breathe a sigh of relief with the success of Stephen Chow's "Journey to the West".

As reported on Jayne Stars website, the Stephen Chow's Chinese New Year flick grossed a phenomenal RMB640 million on its opening day on 10 February and continued to collect a total of RMB1.22 billion on Valentine's Day, surpassing the record set by "Transformers: Dark of the Moon", and is expected to continue on increasing its box office sales.
Meanwhile, the movie reached HKD22 million in Hong Kong. Despite failing to rival Bruce Willis' "A Good Day to Die Hard" that grossed HKD24.73 million, it was able to overcome its competition at the opening day box office.
The success of "Journey to the West" reportedly has brought life back to Huayi Brothers, saving it from its decline after the company suffered a decrease of 10 percent in its stock market value in November last year.
It was revealed that the release of the Stephen Chow movie has brought up Huayi Brothers' stock by 25 percent.
