The production company behind the action flick "Switch" has announced that the November 2 release date in mainland cinemas has been postponed indefinitely, Mtime.com reports.
The postponement is due to the hospitalization of the film's soundtrack producer Tan Yizhe for an unspecified "sudden disease."
"To reduce Mr. Tan's pressure and maintain the musical quality of 'Switch,' the company is readjusting the post-production plans as well as the release date. The new release date has not been decided as yet," the announcement said.
It is the second time that the film's screening date has changed. The film was originally planned for release during the National Day holiday slot, but the transfer from 2D format to 3D forced the delay.
The spy-themed action film features an all-star lineup with actors from the mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, including Andy Lau, Tong Dawei, Lin Chi-ling and Zhang Jingchu. It revolves around a mission to protect the world-famous drawing "Fu Chun Shan Ju Tu", which is the target of a Japanese gangster.
