Korean director Hur Jin-ho's remake of "Dangerous Liaisons," which opened yesterday in mainland cinemas, will go up against several other new films released during the National Day holiday, Mtime.com reports.
The production company behind "Dangerous Liaisons" released a two-minute trailer today to reveal more of the movie's plot.
According to the report, the screening times of "Dangerous Liaisons" account for more than 20 percent of total movie screenings in cinemas in China.
The three leads in the film, including Jang Dong-gun, Zhang Ziyi and Cecilia Cheung, have great appeal for moviegoers, which compensates for the movie's disadvantage of being released in conventional cinemas rather than in 3D or IMAX formats.
