• Mexican Beauty Queen Dies in Shootout Involving Drug Syndicate

  Shocking news this AM.

  Reports say Mexican beauty queen, Maria Susana Flores Gamez, who holds the local title "2012 Woman of Sinaloa," was killed in a violent shootout between a drug gang and Mexican authorities.

  The reports add that Maria Susana Gamez was with the drug gang when the shooting happened. Meantime, a state prosecutor says it is unclear if she participated in the gun battle. Investigators say they found an assault rifle near the beauty queen's body.

  This is reportedly the third incident linking Mexican beauty contestants to drug syndicates. A disturbing bit of information which will unfortunately tarnish the image of Mexican queens.
