  • 23 Hong Kong artistes involved in drug party
It was reported earlier that five Hong Kong artistes were involved in a drug party during a dinner gathering at actress Suki Chui's husband Kenny Wong's restaurant last October. The number rose to 23 in recent reports, with the list including daughter of Macau casino magnate Josie Ho, Eason Chan's wife Hilary Tsui, newly married singer Grace Ip and Cantonese hip-hop group LMF.

The group had gathered at Kenny Wong's restaurant for a birthday celebration that evening. According to the staff, they were having steamboat initially, but strange noises started coming out from the room after the boiler was removed. The workers entered when they heard screams and saw the gang sitting together, some of whom were seen holding blunt wraps, pills and white powdery substance in their hands.

The entire scene was recorded as the room was installed with closed circuit cameras. Some familiar faces,' said sources who watched the footage. 'There's a middle-aged woman who was smoking the '˜powder' and taking pills, and there's another girl who was shouting and dancing. She was even kissing a bespectacled guy passionately.'

They got into a dispute with the staff during payment when the party ended five hours later. Although the bill was settled after few rounds of argument, they were still clearly unhappy as one of the guys and one of the ladies in the group pointed their middle fingers at the closed circuit camera as they left.

Kenny Wong has confirmed that Josie Ho and company had indeed visited his restaurant for dinner that night. He explained, 'œI wasn't around on that day but I heard from my staff that they came. I saw some of them smoking and swallowing pills in the video but I'm not sure who exactly.'

After this incident came to light, the police carried out investigations and the boss was requested to provide relevant information. When asked if he is worried that it would bring trouble, he said, 'Actually I received a call from a self-proclaimed '˜Big Sister' some time ago threatening me ! not to get involved in this anymore. I'm concerned about her next move so I'm handling this with the police.'

  • Lau Ching Wan has to wait a few years for his raise

Fresh out of the oven Golden Horse Best Actor Lau Ching Wan along with Angelica Lee Sinjie, Louis Koo Tin Lok two nights ago worked on the 3D disaster film INFERNO (TOH CHOOK SUN TIN) in Guangzhou. The team applied for road blocks in the financial area for five nights, 15 fire engines and 60 real fire fighters, ambulances and police cars, over 100 extras to play emergency medical teams, victims, onlookers and reporters, and invited 50 Mainland and Hong Kong media outlets to cover he shoot. Directors Pang Brothers admitted that they already expected to exceed the production budget. The film at least will need 8 months of post production and is expected to be released October next year.

Ching Wan said that he has calmed down from the excitement of the award. The most touching was all the people who were happy for him. Some were even happier than he was. Although buddies only send text messages with the word congratulations, but he already planned to return to Hong Kong after finishing htis film and invite everyone to dinner to celebrate. Speaking of his wife Amy Kwok Oi Ming's tears of joy in the audience, Ching Wan sweetly said, "What can I do! She should be happy." As for the moment of his victory became the evening's most watched period, he felt that it had nothing to do with his victory, only that many people wanted to know who won.

Speaking of his raise to 10 million after the award, he joked, "If I didn't win I wouldn't get a raise, after I won of course I have to get a raise! However next year's work has already been scheduled, the raise will have to wait a few more years. Actually working class guys like us are often joked about. Sometimes it's not up to me to say how much the raise will be. The market is calculated." Ching Wan in the film had many dangerous stunts but during the shoot he was very careful and was not injured.

Lee Sinjie pointed out that the film had a lot of dangerous stunts. She was the most afraid of fire and explosion scenes, she was so scared that she did not need! to act before showing her real side. Did she receive any special attention from her director and husband Oxide Pang Shun? She said, "The directors at first were still not pleased with the size of the fire and later made it bigger. I felt like my back was burning and I couldn't act, but I didn't feel right about telling the directors to yell cut. Finally I was so hot that before the scene ended I already ran out; the directors asked me if I was fine but told me next time to more 'alert'. If anything happened run first. I was fell on the slippery floor and in so much pain that I wanted to cry, but with so many people looking on I could only smile. Actually the directors took great care of the actors, but they had to take care of so many people. I wouldn't be mad at him for not taking care of me. Goo Jai and Ching Wan also had many dangerous stunts and they were very attentive." Pang Shun said that because he had too much to handle he could only watch Sinjie fall. How would he thank his wife? He said, "Keep shooting!" Why did he not ask the crew to take extra care of his wife? He joked, "If I said it it would have been worse, they would immediately let go of the rope."

Goo Jai said that he had to work wet in the cold, so cold that he could see his breath. Even though the directors took great care of them and prepared hot ginger hot for them, he still felt frozen. He pointed out that during the shoot earlier he cut his right palm on broken glass, luckily it was superficial and did not need stitches. He said, "I could use it for the shoot, it doesn't need make up and is realistic enough. Actually in comparison to last time when I broke my leg and had to take two years to heal, this time had a lot of dangerous stunts but last time was more dangerous than this time."

Lau Kong receives his 30 year service award.  He just renewed his contract.

Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung, Nancy Wu Ting Yan, Lau Kong, Lai Lok Yi and other artists two nights ago received TVB's long term service awards. Norman Leung Nai Pang, Lee Bo On, Chan Kwok Keung, Lady Lee Hau Wo and other executives attended.

Artists who received the 30 year service award include Lau Kong and Stephen Chow Sing Chi, who has not appeared on a TVB program for a long time. Actually Sing Yeh still has a contract with TVB. Although he was absent from the award ceremony, the "30 year award" still awaited his pick up. Back ! then Sing Yeh went to work in the film industry but still had a TVB contract. Because getting him to return to TVB for a series was harder than ascending to Heaven, the contract was extended indefinitely and he could only be "tied" to be a part of TVB.

The 10 year award recipient Lai Yiu Cheung said that the 10 years since his return to TVB fulfilled "life has many decades". Did his goal for the next 10 years include winning Best Actor repeatedly? Lai Yiu Cheung said, "Hopefully! After this time I still want to. Confidence is uncertain, the most important is making more good shows and working hard to improve." He joked that over these 10 years he toiled to raise his son.

Fellow 10 year award recipient Wu Ting Yan was very happy to receive a Best Supporting Actress nomination for GLOVES COME OFF and was confident about winning. Speaking of the rumor of rekindling the old flame with Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming in Europe while working on TRIUMPH IN THE SKIES II, Wu Ting yan said, "We have already become the past, now we are good friends. When we saw reporters we expected to be written about and didn't need to deliberately avoid them. My boyfriend wasn't jealous either. He knows we are good friends, but industry outsiders would have feeling for some poor choice of words. I hope after awhile we will be fine."

Veteran actor Lau Kong revealed that his TVB contract has been renewed. "After working here for so many years, I have a feel for it. Others say TVB is bad, but the company has treated me well and provided a lot of challenges. In addition with my image I probably wouldn't be abused." He said that the contract extension came with a raise and he was satisfied with the salary. Eric Tsang Chi Wai was also on the list for a 20 year service award.

Friends like Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo), Tony Leung Ka Fai, Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Donnie Yen Chi Tan, Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Chingmy Yau Suk Ching and her husband Shum Ka Wai, Annie Bridgewater (Pak On Nei) and her husband also attended. Michelle Reis (Lee Ka YuN) appeared with Julian Hsu (Hui Chun Hung) who was in crutches.

Kwan Yu said that 10 years ago when Ch! an Ho Sun ! "changed numbers" they celebrated his birthday. This time "4 turned into 5", their daughter would draw a birthday care for him. Kwan Yu said that the birthday dinner cost six figures with almost 80 guests. She did not invite Andy Lau Tak Wa because he knew that he did not like to entertain.

Because their daughter wanted to wait for Papa to cut the birthday cake, they did not leave until 11PM and she even skipped class the next day. Kwan Yu said, "Our daughter is the only girl who could bring Chan Ho Sun to his knees. He worshipped his daughter like the Empress. Chan Ho Sun is very sentimental, he once worried that he would not be able to see his daughter's wedding and cried."

The mother of three daughters, Yau Suk Ching earlier was rumored to be pregnant at Chin Kar Lok's wedding. She said, "No! The pregnancy rumor isn't true, don't believe it." She said that she would not actively have more children.

Around 11PM, Ng Kwan Yu first left with her daughter and the stars stayed until late night. Cheung Hok Yau had a little to drink. Because Chan Ho Sun reminded him not to give gifts, he did not buy any birthday gift. Eric Tsang Chi Wai who would be drunk at every happy occasion was still sober when he left. He said, "I have to stay tough, I can still drive!" He denied that he sang at the birthday. "I am afraid that as soon as I open my mouth, the music scene would be done."

Leung Ka Fai said that he had an early movie shoot the next day but he had a lot of fun. He sang too. He was nominated for the Asia Pacific Film Festival Best Actor with COLD WAR (HONG JIN) but his co-star Aaron Kwok Fu Sing was not. Leung Ka Fai joked, "Of course, it because I am still around. Sing Sing is still young, he needs to work harder." However he was not confident about winning an award and even picked Lau Ching Wan to win.

Koo Tin Lok is busy with INFERNO (TOH CHOOK SUN TIN) in Guangzhou but still returned to Hong Kong for the event. Goo Jai stumbled on his way out and even dropped his camera on the ground. He awkwardly picked up the pieces and left without any interview.

Even Master Jean-Yves felt the mission was impossible as it was highly dangerous.

Jackie Chan's 3 minute long scene took half a month to shoot. The most dangerous was the stunt under the car, he had to maintain balance or he would have been run over. "This suit is very hard to control. On the steep and fast s sharped curves it is so fast that it can brake. I am not superman, I was afraid during the shoot. However since everyone was looking at me, as soon as the cameras rolled I had to risk my life."

I couldn't get it down on the first cut. There was some bleeding as well, which frightened me a little. This month I'm starting a new series and I've been shooting sitcom Come Home Love in the past few weeks. • Ekin Cheng Exclaimed Its Satisfying Seeing Ah Sa Pole Dancing

Yesterday Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Ekin Cheng were in Guangzhou promoting for their new film My Sassy Hubby (sequel of My Wife is 18). Ah Sa joked Ekin didn't change at all in the past 10 years and is a "never decaying man". Ekin said he had the opportunity to watch Ah Sa do pole dancing at a close distance, which was very satisfying.

Joyce Cheng plays Ah Sa's younger cousin, her role has a personality like a 'bat por' (gossip girl) and it was a great challenge for Joyce. There was one swimming pool party scene where Joyce was dressed in a deep V bathing suit. She said: "This role is very loud and bold. It's a dream come true for me to have an opportunity to play this kind of role. In the film, I had to wear a bathing suit, which I thought was a different type of sexiness. It wasn't about how much I had on."

Ah Sa and Joyce play classic HK girls together and had great chemistry, Ah Sa said: "Joyce was so funny and open. The actual Joyce is cute and sweet." She also expressed her character's personality continues from 10 years ago, if she doesn't like it, she'll kick people into the water. Fortunately Ekin was there to rescue her at once.

  • Charmaine Sheh 'Startling Step Each Step' During Catwalk @ Fashion Show

The 2nd Women's Fashion Week & High Quality Fashion of France 2012 at Singapore fashion show kicked off last night. This is the second year the fashion show is held in Singapore. Charmaine Sheh was extremely excited to be able to participate in the fashion show as a model and greatly praised Beijing-based fashion designer Guo Pei's beautiful designs and her works of art. Charmaine did the catwalk in a floor-dragging Chinese-styled dress and admitted her height did not compare to the other models. Fortunately, the stage atmosphere and music accommodated her catwalk, allowing her to feel the surge. She laughed: "At the time, I didn't think about anything, I was just very proud of myself. However, the tail of my dress was so long and heavy. I could easily fall, so I had to be very careful and startling by each step. During rehearsal, a lot of models fell down, therefore must be extra careful and take each step slowly."

Since Charmaine's debut, she had little catwalk experience, so this time it was especially memorable for her. She and designer Guo Pei chatted nonstop and even set up their next meeting in Beijing, Charmaine said: "She's so nice, very attentive and she knew I was on a tight schedule. As soon as I got off the flight, she took me try out the dress and accompanied me the entire time. My dress was tailored to fit me, and wasn't completed until 2 or 3am." Although the two spent a short amount of time together, Charmaine learned Guo Pei loves beauty, every time she sees a model dressed in her designs, she would be very happy. How would Guo Pei evaluate Charmaine? She laughed: "She said I did well and had great momentum. I was happy to hear this because I don't have enough experience in this area after all and walking in that dress was a challenge for me."

  • Are wedding bells ringing for Charlene Choi and William Chan?

Member of popular Cantopop group Twins Charlene Choi and boyfriend William Chan, Hong Kong singer under the same company, were spotted having joint celebrations every year after their relationship went public in 2010, as their birthdays are just one day apart.

This year however, the singer-actress claimed that it is inadvisable to celebrate turning 30 and due to her work commitments, the couple spent a quiet birthday together instead of their usual lavish parties.
“They [birthdays] happen every year. We'll just spend the day together when we can," she said, inviting speculation on the pair's marriage plans.

Last week, William was spotted fetching Charlene to a seafood restaurant for a meal with his family as celebration for his mum who shares the same birthday as him.

The Chan family filled an entire table and in a sweet gesture, the 27-year-old stood to assist his girlfriend with helping the elders to the dishes so that she could sit down and enjoy her meal. Charlene was seen mingling well with his family members and the party carried on until 4am in the morning.
When asked on his marriage plans after bringing his beau to the ˜meet-the-parents' session, William explained, it was just a birthday celebration. I'll think about marriage when I turn 30."
