The Taiwanese artiste got frustrated when reporters asked about his new rumoured love interest
Recently, Taiwanese singer-actor Lee Hom was spotted bringing model Evelyn Lin back to his mansion, and the couple only left his house separately twelve hours later.
At the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport yesterday, Lee Hom, wearing a pair of shades and a hat, was spotted at the departure hall before he took off for Shanghai to attend a charity event.
"Which media are you from?" the 36-year-old snapped when quizzed by reporters about his relationship with Evelyn.
The singer-songwriter refused to respond to reporters' questions and got frustrated. He even used his hand to shield his face from being photographed and hurriedly left for the check-in gate. The situation got chaotic when four of his assistants used their bodies to prevent reporters from getting close to Lee Hom.
His manager responded, "[Lee Hom] was afraid that he would not be in time for his flight and reporters were standing in the way."
On the other hand, Evelyn uploaded a photo of her red-polished nails, commenting: "My favourite red!"
Netizens called her post a declaration of her love for Lee Hom, as the Chinese word for "red" has the same pronunciation as the singer's last name.
Lee Hom's fans have mixed feelings over their idol's new love interest. Some gave blessings to the couple, while others regarded them as incompatible. Disagreeing fans claim that the multi-hyphenate's "standards have dropped" when they compared Evelyn to his former rumoured girlfriends Shu Qi and A-Mei.

Entering a beauty pageant I understand that there's different forms of beauty, and I think love is one of them. Love is a natural emotion that I think is the same thing regardless of sex, which is why I support same sex relationships. A lot of people have negative views about the subject because of their faith in religion or whatever they believe in. I respect other people's religion, but I think that disapproving those who are gay is disapproving something that makes us all human; to love. I wanted to support the pride festival coming up soon, so I decided to play a role as a lesbian and made a Katy Perry parody music video "The One that Got Away" out of it. But to just to make it clear we were all ACTING in the entire video lol I hope that more people would accept same-sex relationships, and encourage those men/women to come out. We live in a society that is so judgemental that men/women are too afraid to come out. And so they lie about whom they are just to be accepted. To those who haven't came out yet, please be true to yourself and don't force a heterosexual life. Be confident about who you are; being gay doesn't make you any different, it makes you special. Your feelings for another man/women does not make it wrong, so love and reveal to the world!
