The 3D wuxia drama "The Guillotines" released new stills.

Peter Chan is the film's producer and Lau Wai Keung is helming the film.

The stills feature six leads in the film including Huang Xiamong, Li Yuchun, Shawn Yue, Jing Boran, Pu Bajia, Ethan Ruan and Zhou Yiwei.

Set in the period of the Qing Emperor Qianlong, the film revolves around a secretive organization called The Guillotines, composed of young martial arts masters who carry out the government's assassination orders.

"The Guillotines" will hit cinemas nationwide on December 20.

'White Deer Plain' Biggest Winner at Chinese American Film Festival

The epic film "White Deer Plain" became the biggest winner in the 8th Chinese American Film Festival, which opened on October 26.

Wang Quanan, director of "White Deer Plain" won Best Director award, while the leading actress in the film Zhang Yuqi took home the Best Actress award.

"White Deer Plain" also won the Best Film award.

"White Deer Plain," adapted from Chen Zhongshi's novel of the same name, received mixed reviews when was released in China since September 15. But in the end, it made 140 million yuan (22.4 million US dollars) in ticket sales.

Longchamp Eyes China Expansion

One luxury retailer not fearful of a China slowdown, Longchamp has opened a new 4,300-square-feet megastore in Hong Kong's Kowloon district. Jean Cassegrain, grandson of Longchamp's founder, told AFP, "We have no intentions to slow down our expansion plans, especially in Asia. The purchasing power of Chinese consumers continue to increase and it is not going to change."
