The 'Candy' singer - who has six-week-old baby Theodora Rose with wife Ayda Field - currently resides in Los Angeles but is in the UK promoting his new album 'Take the Crown', and he admits he is conflicted as to where he wants his daughter raised.
He said: ''I make monumental financial mistakes, me and my lady wife buy a huge country pile, and we go, 'Oh this is lovely this, isn't it lovely, being in the English countryside?' Second night in, 'This is rubbish, it's so miserable!' So it's quite a quandary because we've had a baby now, Teddy, and we are wondering where she is going to be raised.
''I'd like her to have European sensibilities at least. Her mum can speak fluent French. Her father can't even speak English!''
The Take That star nicknamed his newborn daughter Teddy because that was his preferred name, but made sure she had a more formal moniker in case she needed it when she gets older.
He added to BBC Radio 2 DJ Dermot O'Leary: ''She's not named after anybody. I wanted our baby to be called Teddy and mum liked it too, but she felt we needed a professional name, just in case she becomes a lawyer or a doctor. Like that's going to happen! The 41-year-old man was spotted by Tom's security team jumping a fence to get into the property before tasering him at around 9.30 last night (28.10.12).
The prowler was later identified as Tom's neighbour, who seemingly entered the star's property in a drunken state.
The man was shot with a stun gun and detained before police arrived to take him into custody.
He was reportedly treated at a nearby hospital for injuries related to the tasering.
Neither Tom or his family were at home during the incident.
The 'Rock of Ages' actor is not the only star to have had a trespasser in recent months.

I don't know when Halloween became an excuse for women to dress in the sluttiest costumes imaginable but at some point, that definitely happened. Every year, Paris Hilton is a great example of that. She's not alone, of course. All sorts of Hollywood starlets seem to choose costumes based on how much skin they'll be able to show without fearing arrest. It's not really my cup of tea, honestly. You know whose Halloween costume I look forward to every year? Heidi Klum. She often shows a lot of skin but always in a very interesting, creative way and I think that's what Halloween is all about. These photos of Paris Hilton attending a Halloween Party in Beverly Hills are a little disappointing to me. First, I swear she wore this same costume a few years back and second, there's really nothing creative about it. Her friends are far more interesting to look at. I'm sure by the time Halloween has actually come and gone though, we'll see several more slutty Paris Hilton costumes and they'll probably be better than this one.

The 'Candy' singer and his wife Ayda Field are currently in the UK while he promotes his new album 'Take The Crown', and both of their mothers - along with various other relations - have moved in to their rented house in London to help care for the six-week-old baby.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Robbie and Ayda's mums get on well and are helping a lot with the baby.
''There's a lot of football going on into the night - with floodlights put up especially in the back garden.
''It really is one big happy family. There's always someone to lend a hand with baby duties - Teddy is getting plenty of cuddles.''

Demi Moore wants to fall in love again.
The 49-year-old actress has finally come to terms with the end of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher - who she split from in November 2011 after a five-year union - and is reportedly looking forward to finding romance again.

A source said: "She's not desperate to date again but she is actually open to it which is a really good step. She wants to experience something new. She wants to fall in love again."

The 19-year-old actress announced her engagement to 'Hunger Games' star Liam Hemsworth earlier this year and while Billy Ray Cyrus is happy that they are not in a hurry to marry, he approves of the relationship because Liam makes Miley so happy.
