Chen Bo-lin and Ariel Lin crowned Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress at the 47th Golden Bell Awards
DREAM COUPLE ARE GOLDEN BELL AWARDS WINNERS
Chen Bo-lin (陳柏霖) and Ariel Lin (林依晨), the dream couple in the popular TV series In Time with You (我可能不會愛你), were crowned Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress at the 47th Golden Bell Awards (金鐘獎) ceremony, held in Taipei on Friday night.
Bo-lin looked overjoyed as this was the first award he has received since he entered showbiz more than 10 years ago.
Ariel, who will turn 30 on October 29, said the award was a great birthday surprise.
In Time with You was the biggest winner at the annual Taiwanese television production award ceremony, pocketing seven awards. Aside from the Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress honors, it also won Best Supporting Actress (Lin Mei-hsiu (林美秀)), Best Director (Qu You-Ning (瞿友寧)) and Best TV Drama awards.
Hosted by Sam Tseng (曾國城) and Janet Hsieh (謝怡芬), the awards ceremony reached its climax when Nicky Wu (吳奇隆), member of the former boy band The Little Tigers (小虎隊), showed up on stage to present awards.
Now spending most of his time shooting TV series in China, Nicky greeted the audience, saying, “I’m back!”
Top magician Lu Chen (劉謙), hailed as the “Glory of Taiwan,” performed close-up magic tricks on stage, involving poker, tapes and coffee, triggering non-stop wows from the audience.
Turkish TV host Rifat, better known by his Taiwan stage name Wu Feng (吳鳳), excitedly thanked producers of his TV program when he was announced Best TV Host of Travel Programs.
“Thank you for believing in foreigners, so that we can turn impossible into possible,” he said in fluent Mandarin.
