Ang Lee's Life of Pi set for November release in China

Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee's first 3D film, an adaptation from the bestselling novel "Life of Pi," is scheduled to debut on Chinese mainland on Nov. 22, the Beijing News reported Thursday.

The fantasy adventure, starring Indian newcomer Suraj Sharma, tells the story of a boy's cast adrift in the ocean on a boat with a tiger.

Life of Pi will be the most anticipated work for moviegoers next month, according to the Beijing News.

Life of Pi was filmed in Taiwan, Canada and India.

PORN OR PEKING OPERA?
Remember the controversial Peking Opera bikini babes?

They have been outdone by Peking Opera actresses flashing boobs and even their private parts.

The black-and-white photos are being promoted as the "concept photography" of artist Liu Zheng (刘铮), from about 10 years ago.

Not surprisingly, the photos have received snowballs of criticism on the Internet.

Most netizens agreed it was porn, not Peking opera.

WANG LEE-HOM BEDS SHU QI LOOKALIKE
It looks like Wang Lee-hom (王力宏) is pining for his rumored ex-lover Shu Qi (舒淇) as a curvy model, who has Shu's trademark "pillow" lips, spent the night at Lee-hom's place on early Sunday morning.

At 2am on Sunday, Lee-hom's BMW sedan picked up model Lin Hsiao-yun (林筱筠) in Taipei and drove her back to the pop singer's luxurious house.

The 30-year-old Hsiao-yun stayed in his place for a good 12 hours and was only seen again at 2pm when Lee-hom left his house in the BMW, while Hsiao-yun closely followed in a taxi.

When confronted by the media, Lee-hom's manager said Hsiao-yun was one of the friends who attended the Halloween party in Lee-hom's house, denying that she is Lee-hom's new love.

The disease is a disorder of the body's connective tissue and makes the skin saggy.

She also has congenital heart disease, pneumonia and asthma.

"She looks like an old man. Last time I took her to visit a doctor, another kid was scared and cried terribly," said her grandmother Cao Niu.

Just 200 families worldwide suffer from the disorder, according to the National Institutes of Health.
