Tara's, Hyomin cast for One Thousandth Man!:

Hyomin, from popular girl group T-ara, has been cast in One Thousandth Man along with Lee Chun Hee and Kang Ye Won. Like Kang, she’ll also be playing a gumiho in which is now being described as a “fantasy sitcom”.

IT looks like the recently-crowned Philippine bet to the Miss World beauty pageant to be held in August in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, a province of the People’s Republic of China, has her work cutout for her in view of the increasingly strained political relationship between the country and China.

It may be recalled that Queenerich Rehman bagged the crown during coronation night carried by TV5, a network fast-becoming a worthy rival of two other networks in the local entertainment industry.

In addition to the task of besting a host of equally-talented, confident and beautiful candidates from all parts of the world, it is seen that Queenerich may have to go out of her way as well to win the endorsement of the Chinese host who happens to be the country’s third largest economic partner fostering growth in terms of trade but may now become an alienated friend and estranged ally in view of literally and figuratively burning and broadening border issues.

All things being equal, the nagging possibility that the escalating situation in the Spratly Islands may also burn to ashes Queenerich’s chances of winning the title let alone landing in the top five ranking is being fueled thus far with each atrocity committed in the high seas.

While it may appear that the Philippines and China at this point in time may have exhausted all the goodwill that they may feel towards each other thereby negatively- influencing decision-making and adversely- affecting stakeholders in many sectors of society, it may also be worthy to note that there is no arguing with destiny.

Success stories do abound that started with prospects bleaker than the ones perceived to be hurdled by Queenerich Rehman but ended splendidly otherwise.

Given that the tides are evidently and definitely turned against Queenerich right from the start because of the compounding political altercation, would Queenerich sail steadfast, secure in the knowledge that she has earned the right to represent the country in the Miss World beauty pageant and confident in the belief that destiny to win the crown is inarguable or would she allow doubts and fear to chain her plummeting all hopes in the deep seas of doubt and uncertainties? Just asking…
