"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" Sequel to Start

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" sequel to start.

A sequel to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" has been announced by the US production house Weinstein Company.
However, the film set to enter to production this year, will not involve Ang Lee.
Instead, Ronny Yu, who is best known for Jet Li's Fearless is likely to be offered the director's chair.
The Oscar winning "Crouching Tiger" was based on the fourth novel in the Crane Iron Pentalogy, written by Wang Dulu, and the sequel will be based on the fifth book in the series.
The story will revolve around Yu Xiulian, played by Michelle Yeoh in "Crouching Tiger".
The screenplay is set to be penned by U.S screenwriter John Fusco, who wrote Jet Li's "The Forbidden Kingdom".
It is unknown whether any of the "Crouching Tiger" cast members will return to reprise their roles, but the famed martial arts choreographer, Wo Ping Yuen, is expected to return.
The Ang-Lee directed film won four Academy Awards, including Best Foreign Language Film.
