Woman survives fire by climbing down to downstairs window

At 19:20pm on March 27, a 30-something woman wearing only a pair of pink knickers climbed out of a 7th-floor window, from which a thick smoke was seen giving off, in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

The almost clothe-less woman climbed down along a pink sleepwear which was fixed to her window frame, to the sixth floor window and broke its glass. In order to secure herself, the woman then boldly relaxed her grip on the sleepwear and rode on the window’s iron bar there to wait other people to rescue her.

Responding to the report, the firefighters and policemen arrived at scene immediately. Some rushed to the sixth floor to pull the woman back to the room safely, while some others went upstairs straightly to put out the fire.

The woman, who survived the fire, was found to have mental problems, when the police talked with her. The woman’s neighbors also said that she acted abnormally too after having been hurt in a love affair.

It was learned, the woman was about to get married this year, but her boyfriend suddently broke up with her and avoided seeing her too.

In the morning of the day, the woman smoked alone in her own room after she had a quarrel with her mother, which accidentally caused the fire.
