Singapore turns shopping street into runway

The show nearly had to take a raincheck, but showers stopped 15 minutes before starting time. One hundred and seventy models walked on the city state's main shopping belt, while members of the public had front row seats on the sidewalks.

Models wore a range of clothes taking in high street and luxury womenswear and menswear, from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Just Cavalli to Marks and Spencer.
Organizers said the runway show was aimed at making fashion more accessible to a wider audience.
