Hyori is a hot Asian Girl!
Report from Shanghaiist:
One day, Du Fu decided to visit his wife, who was living in Chang’an, Tang Dynasty’s capital.
In order to see her as soon as possible, he bought a horse.
But the traffic police told him not to ride a horse without a “riding license,” so he rode a bicycle instead and started to do businesses on his way.
However, his business and bicycle were confiscated by chengguan because he did not have an official approval. So, he borrowed an electric bicycle from Li Bai, another famous poet in his time.
But Li Bai wanted to use the bicycle, so Du Fu had to ask Ma Liang, a figure in Chinese myth who could materialize his drawings, a motorcycle.
But Ma Liang forgot to draw the key hole of the motorcycle and Du could not ride it, so he got this Volkswagon motorcycle.
But Volkswagon sued him of IPR violation, so he could only borrow this SUV from his friend Yan Wu.
But the SUV was too slow, so he bought this.
But he could not afford the oil price, so he seeked international help.
But a civil war broke out between the central and local governments, so he had to arm himself.
But the enemies were so strong, so he had to have some stronger weapons.
But the weapons were not advanced enough, so he decided to have a gun.
And he could become a sniper when necessary.
Finally, after a long journey, he found his wife!
Chinese netizens have gone on a rampage photoshopping Du Fu, the prominent Tang Dynasty poet. In the “Du Fu is busy” meme, netizens have come up with their own creative versions of a portrait of Du Fu popularly used in Chinese textbooks, telling different versions of Du Fu’s life.
This gallery shows one version of Du Fu’s “life,” in which Du Fu is busy not writing poems but going to visit his wife.
While most netizens would think of this as just pure simple fun, the meme has been criticized by some poetry scholars.
Ma Xinchao(马新朝), president of He’nan Poetry Association, says Du Fu is “the light of the Chinese nation,” and “there should be a bottom line on spoofing Du Fu.”
Meanwhile, the Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum, a museum developed out of Du Fu’s Chengdu residence, said in a tweet on Sina Weibo, “Is this childlike innocence? Is this humor? Is this fashion? Is it encouragable? Such behavior has no basic respect towards others. How can we do this to a great poet respected as ‘backbone of the Chinese nation’?”
This year marks the 1300th birthday of Du Fu, a year regarded by some as a good opportunity to make a profit out of the ancient poet. Some analysts say the meme may have been a clever marketing ploy for an upcoming product orchestrated by a PR company.
