Stars Shine At The First Mmax Future Pictures Festival (MFPF)
24 awards were presented by stars, celebrities and industry figures at the first Mmax Future Pictures Festival (MFPF) ceremony last night in Beijing.
Among the stars to appear at the event were Fan Bingbing, Yao Chen, Tong Dawei, David Tao, Liu Yan and Huo Siyan.
70 videos were chosen by a specially selected jury from 1,500 submissions to compete for 24 awards on offer during the event.
"My Spiritual Medicine" dominated the Online Micro Film section, picking up the awards for Best Micro Film, Best director and Best Music. The Best Actress award went to singer Tan Weiwei.
In the Online TV Series section, "Miss Puff: Season 1" grabbed the awards for Best Online TV Series, Best Director and Best Editing.
The MFPF seeks to discover creative online videos, including short films, advertisements, serial dramas and variety shows. The festival aims to provide a platform for network-filmmakers to communicate and exchange their individual thoughts and experiences.
