Oh no! SHINee's Taemin has accidentally ripped his pants during a performance on live TV.
On December 28, the 2012 KBS Music Awards took place on live TV. Taemin along with the other SHINee members gave a charismatic performance that involved intense dancing. Due to the dancing and the tight outfits, Taemin's pants unfortunately ripped and his underwear was flashed.
SHINee performed their hit "Sherlock" during the second half of the award show. The group was captivating the audience and viewers with their powerful choreography and perfect live singing. But towards the end of the performance, Taemin's pants ripped and flashed his underwear. However, Taemin didn't lose his nerves and kept his cool while finishing his performance strongly.
Netizens who saw this commented, "SHINee's live performance was perfect. But they should've made the outfits with stronger material considering their intense dance moves," "I bet he was so embarassed afterwards," "It's a relief that his underwear was a dark color," "He must have known something was wrong but he wasn't shaken and kept his cool until the end – definitely a pro," and many more.
Accidents like wardrobe malfunction isn't a rare happening in the K-Pop world. For example, world star PSY once ripped his pants during live TV in the past. - My 2012 in Review: Colleen
So, 2012 was a good year for me. One of the highlights was attending the New York Asian Film Festival and Japan Cuts. It wasn't the first time I'd gone, but it was my first time as an official member of the press.
I attended NYAFF's opening night screening of Vulgaria (Hong Kong, 2012) with a couple of friends of mine including VCinema's very own Dear Leader, Stan Glick. We had a blast. The movie was easily one of the best comedies I've ever seen, regardless of the film's country of origin. Unfortunately, Stan had to leave when the movie was over, but there was a great Q&A with director Pang Ho-cheung. Afterwards, there was a very nice opening night reception in the Gallery at the Walter Reade Theater (Lincoln Center) complete with some ice cold Kirin.
The following afternoon, I was extremely lucky enough to attend the press conference with one of the top actors in Korea, Choi Min-sik. It was a true thrill to not only be in the same room with the man, but to have asked him a question about one of my favorite films I Saw the Devil (S. Korea 2010). NYAFF held a four film mini-retrospective of Choi's work, including his latest Nameless Gangster (Korea, 2012).
Over the course of a month so many amazing films were screened both at Lincoln Center and The Japan Society and I was able to see and review quite a few, including the New York premiere of Hard Romanticker (Japan, 2011), the anime King of Pigs (Korea, 2011), the musical comedy Nasi Lemak 2.0 (Malaysia 2011), Takashi Shimizu's horror film Tormented (Japan 2011), and the heartbreaking Fukushima documentary No Man's Zone (Japan 2012). I cannot wait to attend NYAFF and Japan Cuts next year!

- Jae Hee Thanks "May Queen" Co-Star Kim Jae Won For Keeping His Marriage a Secret
Actor Jae Hee recently thanked fellow co-star Kim Jae Won for staying mum about his marriage.
During a recent interview, Jae Hee opened up about how the news of his marriage spread and his gratitude for Kim Jae Won keeping the news from reporters. Jae Hee said, "Everyone close to me already knew I was married. I didn't plan on hiding it, it was just that it never made it to the press."
When asked whether any of his co-stars knew about the actor's marital status, Jae Hee replied, "Kim Jae Won hyung already knew about it before the press announced it. Once he heard the news, he turned to me and said, 'You must be overjoyed,' and expressed his happiness for me." Regarding his female co-star Han Ji Hye, he shared that he did not reveal the news to her as it was the first time he met and worked with her.
He also went on to say, "In my opinion, a marriage is where a man and woman make a lifetime commitment to each other. I don't think it's entirely necessary to hold a press conference to announce it. I guess it would be a different story if we didn't get a marriage certificate and hid it from the public. Then it would be something to be scolded for, but the press found out we were already married in an honorable fashion and were living happily together. So I don't think there's anything wrong with the manner we went about it."
