Zhang Ziyi 章子怡 investigated for prostitution
The disgraced top Chinese official Bo Xilai is now being accused of paying actress Zhang Ziyi to have sex with him on a dozen occasions over the last five years. Anti-Beijing website Boxun on Monday quoted sources as saying that Zhang is being investigated by Chinese authorities and has been barred from leaving the country.
According to Boxun, the two met in 2007 through Xu Ming, the founder and chairman of Dalian Shide Group and purported financier of the disgraced official. Xu paid 6 million yuan (around W1.1 billion) a night to have sex with Zhang and had her entertain Bo as well for 10 million yuan. Zhang had sex with Bo on more than 10 occasions and Xu paid the actress for the favors, according to Boxun.

Zhang and Bo met in secret locations including Xu's private resort in Beijing. Zhang also allegedly slept with two other high-ranking Chinese government officials after being introduced to them through Xu. Boxun said their identities would be revealed later.
Citing a report that Boxun says was compiled by Chinese investigators, the website said the actress has five to six rich boyfriends and reportedly earned 700 million yuan over the last decade through prostitution, including 180 million yuan from Xu.
Earlier Boxun said Xu had spent the night with Zhang aboard his yacht in Hong Kong before he was arrested by Chinese authorities. He was in Hong Kong on a stopover on his private jet from Singapore to Beijing. Zhang allegedly called Xu the day before his arrest in mid-March begging him to marry her.
But Zhang on her social networking site on Tuesday morning denied the allegation. Zhang, who hails from Beijing, is one of China’s top actresses and made her film debut in the 1999 movie "The Road Home" by Zhang Yimou. She has since appeared in numerous films and came to wider international attention with "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."
Boxun is a website set up by an anti-Beijing activist in North Carolina and has been reporting on the Bo Xilai scandal since February. It has a reputation for mixing fact with fiction by often basing its reports on rumors.

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is allegedly being investigated for a sex scandal linked with China's former Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai.
According to various sources that have been rampant on the matter, Zhang has been barred from leaving the country, where she is currently shooting "The Grandmasters", while the investigations are ongoing. This may explain why she has refused to appear at the Cannes Film Festival, where her upcoming movie "Dangerous Liaisons" is contending. She has also refused an invitation to present the Palme d'Or award at the festival.
Zhang's involvement in the scandal with Bo, was believed to have been arranged by another government official and an associate of Bo, Xu Ming, the founder and chairman of the Dailian Shide Group.
The actress had agreed to sleep with Bo for 10 million Yuan (approximately SG$2 million) and they had at least 10 encounters in between 2004 to 2007, according to the Chinese media.
Zhang was also believed to have been introduced to other officials through Xu, and slept with them to rake in about 700 million Yuan (SG$141.7 million) from the transactions that took place between 2004 and 2007.
